Augusta Distillery will officially launch Buckner’s 17, the newest bourbon in its Buckner’s series. The release will be available for guests to purchase at the distillery’s Buckner’s, BBQ and Bluegrass event on 15 June. The event will also feature catering provided by Rescue BBQ and live music performed by Slippery Creek.

In addition, Alex Castle, Augusta Distillery’s first master distiller, will guide an exclusive tasting experience and distillery tour a day in advance of the official Buckner’s 17 release on 14 June.

She will lead two tastings, at 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm Both events will include all four of Buckner’s expressions—10, 13, 15 and 17. Each expression comes in a commemorative bottle with choice of tulip, rocks or Glencairn glassware.

Ryan Edwards, president of Augusta Distillery, commented: “Buckner’s 17 has had a lot of craft and care poured into it, and we are excited to finally give our fellow bourbon lovers a taste. This event is not just an opportunity to try some quality bourbon, but also for the public to get to know us.” Edwards stated the bourbon is a follow-up to Augusta Distillery’s Buckner’s 15 and Buckner’s 13.

Buckner’s, BBQ and Bluegrass is open to the public on 15 June from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Normal distillery retail sales, operations and tours will be available throughout the day, as well.  The private tasting with Castle will be held on 14 June at 3:30 pm and 5 pm Tickets are limited and can be found on Augusta Distillery’s website.

Buckner’s 17 (RRP $399.99) is a single-barrel, cask-strength, unfiltered bourbon that has matured for 17 years. Tasting notes provided by Augusta Distillery say the bourbon has notes of honeyed vanilla, caramel and buttery cream.
