The independent blender, Barrell Craft Sprits, has launched its Barrell Full Proof Bourbon. While cask strength bourbon is bottled at the proof it is when it leaves the barrel, full proof bourbon is bottled at the same proof as when it first entered the barrel.

The BCS blending team began by selecting individual barrels and cutting each one to its original barrel entry proof. Through careful blending, they then harmonized these distinct elements into a bold full-flavored masterpiece, resulting in an exceptional blend featuring notes of hazelnut, chocolate, tobacco, and leather.

The new expression features straight bourbon whiskeys from Indiana 16 and 18-year, Tennessee 16 and 17-year, and Kentucky 11 and 20-year which were blended and bottled at 123 proof (61.5% ABV). Featuring a derived mash bill of corn (78 per cent), rye (11 per cent), and malted barley (11 per cent). Barrell Full Proof is now available for purchase online via the BCS website at barrellbourbon.com and at select retailers for the suggested retail price of $199.99 per 750ml bottle.
