Brother Justus Whiskey Company has announced the launch of its collaboration with the Commander’s Own Chapter of the 34th Infantry Division Association, a Minnesota-based non-profit organization, to create and distribute two unique, limited-edition releases. The expressions, The Commander’s Own and The Commander’s Cut, are distilled and bottled from 100 per cent malted barley. They are intended to serve as commemorative products for current and former members, families, and friends of the 34th “Red Bull” Infantry Division, while generating resources to support the Red Bulls’ legacy and provide scholarships for members and their families.

Phil Steger, founder and CEO of Brother Justus, commented: “Honor is part of our DNA — we honor our land and legacy with every bottle of whiskey we produce; to use our storied whiskey to further honor soldiers, current and veteran, is a true privilege.”

The 24th Infantry Division Association chapter president, Chad Sackett added: “The quality of Brother Justus’ Whiskey, combined with their deep respect for history and legacy, set the perfect table for us to jointly create something exceptional and meaningful for our current and former service members and their families. What we have developed honors the history of the Red Bulls and the 34th ID Association's commitment to carry on that legacy.”

Notes provided by Brother Justus Whiskey Company say Commander’s Own has notes of custard and toffee on the nose, followed by toasted malt and vanilla on the palate.

Commander’s Own (RRP $72.99) is releasing late May and Commander’s Cut will be released in November this year. Each limited-edition expression will be available online in select states and in the Northeast Minneapolis cocktail room.
