The Kentucky distillery has been recognized as the KDA's 15th heritage-level member.

Castle & Key Distillery of Frankfort, Kentucky has been recognized with the highest rank for distilleries aging more than 50,000 barrels per year, becoming the Kentucky Distillers’ Association’s (KDA) 15th heritage-level member.

This new membership means the distillery will further partner with the KDA, joining in the leadership of the association and its support of the state’s distilling industry.

“We’re thrilled to be joining the KDA and will be seeking a spot soon on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour," says Will Arvin, Castle & Key’s co-founder. "We’ve appreciated the leadership of the association’s President, Eric Gregory, and his team at the KDA in championing Kentucky’s signature industry around the world, and we look forward to working alongside all other members of the organization.”

The KDA was founded in 1880, serving as an advocate and supporter of Kentucky’s Bourbon and spirits industries. Castle & Key will be participating on a variety of boards and committees associated with the KDA to keep pushing the industry forward.

Castle & Key is a historic distillery that was purchased in 2014 by Arvin and Wes Murry. The distillery strives to reimagine the Kentucky spirits industry through innovation by emphasizing quality over quantity through limited seasonal releases. Castle & Key’s most recent releases include the Sacred Spring VodkaRoots of Ruin Gin and Restoration Rye.
