Chattanooga Whiskey has announced its latest release, Batch Alpha: Intergalactic Comet Crusher. The new expression was announced through a creative press release that takes inspiration from historic conspiracy theories such as the Roswell incident or the mythology surrounding US air force base Area 51.
The release features large amounts of redacted text and describes the new release as an uncovered bottled substance found amongst the debris of a spacecraft that crashed onto the roof of the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery. The press release goes on to describe how the distillers reverse engineered the substance to create the distillery’s newest expression.
The sense of mystery continues into the press release tasting notes, where the new expression is described as having “notes reminiscent of having your brains smashed out by a bag of lemons dipped in 42 karat gold.”
Batch Alpha: Intergalactic Comet Crusher (RRP $49.99) has been infused with more than 40 different botanicals and is bottled at 84 proof in 750ml bottles. The new expression will be available for purchase at the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery on June 24 (World UFO Day), and available online for shipping to select states.
