In celebration of Craft Malt Month this September, Copperworks Distilling Co has announced a new bottling — Craft Malt Month 2025 American Single Malt Whiskey. Copperworks Distilling Co has also announced it will donate $10 from every bottle sold to the Craft Maltsters Guild, supporting its mission to sustain and promote craft malting traditions across North America. The guild created Craft Malt Month to spotlight the connection between local agriculture and craft beverages.
Distilled from Baronesse barley grown at Joseph's Grainery and malted by LINC Malt, the distillery crafted this release (referred to behind-the-scenes as Single Cask No. 484) to showcase the importance of local sourcing, strong farmer partnerships, and artisanal quality.
Craft Malt Month 2025 American Single Malt Whiskey started its journey alongside the eight casks used in Copperworks' Farmsmith release. While those casks were bottled after an initial maturation, the barrel that housed this new release continued aging.
"At 4 years and 9 months, well over a year longer than the Farmsmith casks, this expression truly shows how extended maturation enhances complexity," said Copperworks Distilling Co vice president and co-owner, Jeff Kanof.
Tasting notes provided by Copperworks Distilling Co say this release has notes of pie crust and raspberry cheesecake on the nose, followed by black cherry, dried mango, and orange marmalade on the palate.
Limited to only 168 bottles, Craft Malt Month 2025 American Single Malt Whiskey (RRP $89.99) is bottled at 125.9 proof and available to purchase via Copper Works’ official website.
