Copperworks Distilling Co., based in Seattle, Washington State, has announced the release of its largest blend to date. A portion of the Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey Release 047 has been allocated for select export markets.
"Just as the American Single Malt Whiskey category gains more recognition on the global stage, demand for Copperworks spirits continues to rise at home and now, abroad!" said Copperworks Distilling Co. president, co-founder, and co-owner, Jason Parker. "Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey Release 047 is our largest blend to date, and a portion of it is destined for select export markets, including Taiwan. This latest release is among other special selections of Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey that have made their way to select International markets such as Italy, Canada, UK, and Japan.”
Release 047 was made from a combination of 13 casks, four crafted from Copperworks’ Five Malt recipe and nine crafted from Baronesees Pale malt. All the casks were new American Oak, char #2 from Canton Cooperage, with a mix of 24-month and 36-month seasoned staves. The Five Malt casks matured for three years and nine months, while the Baronesse casks matured for three years.
"While we certainly have a long way to go towards world domination, we are extremely proud to say that Copperworks is now internationally distributed!" said Copperworks Distilling Co. vice president and co-owner, Jeff Kanof. "This is an exciting accomplishment and an indicator of our continued growth, especially in light of our recent expansion with our Talking Cedar partnership. Thanks to our new partnership, Copperworks' whiskey production will grow to 5x our previous capacity."
