Consumers will be able to choose a mash bill from hundreds of other proprietary double-staved barrels, pre-selected by the Mattingly team of blenders. The purchase can be customized further with features such as bottle shape and wax color for the stopper. J. Mattingly 1845’s team will then hand bottle it with the consumer specifications in mind before shipment. Orders placed before 5 June will be received by Father’s Day on 16 June.  Any orders placed after 5 June have the option of a downloadable gift card alongside the custom bottle.

All J. Mattingly 1845 whiskeys undergo the proprietary double-staving process. This allows the spirit inside the barrels additional surface exposure to charred barrel staves to impart more flavor and color.  This extra surface exposure of the charred staves inside the barrels results in a more flavorful taste profile.  The barrels are then married together after taste tests from J. Mattingly 1845’s team of blenders.
