When it comes to the links between country music and whiskey, it’s a well-documented partnership, with a long and creative history. The two are joined by their roots both historically and culturally and have been interwoven — sometimes consciously and sometimes unconsciously — throughout our lives.
For Barmen 1873, this is a partnership that the brand is proudly shining a light on this year through the launch of its limited-edition commemorative bottling… but more on that later.
The brand was inspired by its founder, A Coors, and the name Barmen 1873 pays homage to his birthplace and the year that he established his legacy; a legacy that is now more than 150 years old. The grit and determination required for him to have created his business now flows through the veins of Coors Whiskey Co in
Golden, Colorado.
Barmen 1873 Bourbon is a 92-proof blend of carefully selected straight bourbons, and through careful curation it recently announced the launch of a new endeavor; a limited-edition commemorative bottling that would celebrate its partnership with Grammy Award-winning country music star, Lainey Wilson. As part of the celebration of the start of the US leg of her 2025 Whirlwind World Tour, the exclusive release was created to bring together two American originals, one that was built on music and the other built on whiskey. The two are united by their authenticity, craft, and grit.
A true trailblazer, Lainey Wilson has taken the country music world by storm, capturing the hearts of music fans, as well as the excitement of the industry and recognition of her peers. Her incredible continued rise to fame includes winning four awards at the 60th Annual ACM Awards — Entertainer of the Year (her second consecutive win), Female Artist of the Year (her third consecutive win), Album of the Year (Whirlwind), and Artist-Songwriter of the Year — while her new single, “Somewhere Over Laredo,” garnered more than 1.16 million streams across platforms in the first 24 hours of its release (her biggest first day of streaming to date). “Somewhere Over Laredo” is from the new deluxe version of Wilson’s award-winning album, Whirlwind, which was released on August 22 in celebration of the record’s one-year anniversary.
Through the celebration of partnership and Wilson’s rising star, the Lainey Wilson Whirlwind World Tour Commemorative Bottle hit the shelves on August 11, 2025. The bottle itself features a full design takeover which was inspired by the singer’s bold style and breakout career in the country music world. Adding even more sparkle to the occasion, the collectable release includes just 1,000 cases that can be found in markets that align with Wilson’s tour stops.
“This bottle of Barmen 1873 has my name written all over it — literally — and it’s coming on the road with us. My limited-edition Whirlwind World Tour release of Barmen 1873 can be found along the tour route through 2025,” said Wilson.
As the singer mentions, the commemorative bottles will be available in select US markets to map out the tour. Stops include: Nashville, Dallas, Denver, Chicago, Tampa, and others, all while supplies last.
“This commemorative release captures the fire, energy, and soul of Lainey’s Whirlwind World Tour,” said Susie McInerney, marketing lead for Barmen 1873 Bourbon. “It’s a celebration of a shared American spirit — and something truly special for both music fans and whiskey drinkers.”
The commemorative bottle idea is part of a multi-year partnership that began in early 2024, when Barmen 1873 wanted to find the perfect first official ‘artist partner’ and selected Lainey Wilson.
To kick off the brand’s partnership, Barmen 1873 Bourbon helped bring “Bell Bottom Country” to life through a Lainey Wilson-themed pop-up in Nashville, with all proceeds benefiting her charity, the Heart Like a Truck Fund. The partnership has since come to life through custom brand integrations, on-stage moments, and shared appearances across digital and retail platforms. A true modern-day expression of art and whiskey and the way it perfectly combines — looking forward to the next.
