Baseball icons and founders of Ripken Baseball Cal Ripken, Jr. and Bill Ripken have announced the Ripken Blend, a limited-edition bourbon made in collaboration with the Maker’s Mark Private Selection programme. The Ripken brothers worked closely with Maker’s Mark Distillery to create their perfect bourbon blend.
Kentucky is home to both the Maker’s Mark Distillery and the Ripken Experience Elizabethtown, one of Ripken Baseball’s seven locations. The Ripken Blend will be exclusively available to baseball coaches across the US who register their teams to play at the Ripken Experience Elizabethtown this year.
The expression is expected in limited release of just 248 bottles, which will be autographed by the brothers.

Cal Ripken, Jr. shared: “Bill and I had a lot of fun with the Maker’s Mark team on the Bourbon Trail in beautiful Kentucky. The end result will be a unique piece of memorabilia for some of our coaches that will remind them of their baseball memories in Elizabethtown for years to come.”
Elizabethtown Tourism executive director Janna Clark added: “This special blend will be one of the most unique ‘only in Kentucky’ collectibles for baseball coaches. Whether the bottles are shared, saved, or displayed, we hope they enjoy taking a little piece of Kentucky back home with them.”
Maker’s Mark Private Selection is the distillery’s first custom barrel programme. Established in 1953, in recent years the distillery has added super-premium expressions to its portfolio. Its latest release was a Singapore edition of its City Series.
