Developed by the same team behind the Bardstown Bourbon Company, Whiskey House will have no brands of its own, instead focusing on contract distillation for customer brands.
Thus far, Whiskey House has assembled a team of 18 from across the whiskey sector. Recent recruits include Robert Helmer Jr as chief financial officer (CFO), who joins from former role of CFO and treasurer of Trefethen Family Vineyards. He replaces Whiskey House co-founder Daniel Linde, who will transition from CFO to chief strategy officer.
Also joining the team is Ryan Poe, who was formerly director of distillery operations at Barrell Craft Sprits. Poe will be distillery manager for Whiskey House.
Co-founder and CEO David Mandell commented: “We could not be more excited by the level of expertise we’re attracting. It takes a best-in-class team to operate the most advanced distillery in the United States, while providing unparalleled service to the customers in our Custom Whiskey Program.”
The full list of key hires can be found on whiskeyhouse.com, and includes new staff in roles ranging from human resources to warehouse manager to maintenance. The distillery’s hiring journey continues in the lead-up to its opening; Whiskey House is now looking for distillery supervisors and operators and warehouse team members, among others.
