What is the production process for Snout-to-Tail Bourbon?
A decade's worth of flavors have been doubled down on during WhistlePig's Snout-to-Tail maturation process. Each of the finishing barrels features two distinctly toasted barrel heads - a Vermont oak medium toast at 'the snout' end and a Vermont oak smoked maple wood toast at 'the tail', bringing forth complex flavors.
WhistlePig rotates its barrels 180 degrees in the warehouse to harness the distinct toasted flavors from each barrel head, enhancing the robust character of this straight bourbon whiskey.
Bottled at 88 proof, the Snout-to-Tail Bourbon pays homage to the 880 miles that separate the WhistlePig Farm in Vermont from its new outpost in Kentucky.
