Woodford Reserve welcomes back its Double Double Oaked expression in the 2021 Winter Distillery Series. As part of the annual series that celebrates Woodford Reserve’s master distiller, Chris Morris and his commitment to innovation and craftmanship for the brand.
The Double Double Oaked release has built a strong following of Bourbon lovers over the years, with the 2021 bottling available in limited quantities at select Kentucky retailers.
This year’s winter expression is also available at the Woodford Reserve Distillery from 10am EDT on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Customers are able to purchase up to four 375ml bottles - it is important to note that due to Covid restrictions, the distillery will be reducing the number of guests inside the gift shop at any one moment. Once inside the gift shop, Facial coverings, temperature checks, and social distancing will be required.
This expression is the result of finished fully matured Woodford Reserve Double Oaked for an additional year in a second, heavily toasted, lightly charred, new oak barrel. The extra year of finished given to this liquid has created a Bourbon that is distinctly spicier than its original counterpart.
Double Double Oaked is 90.4 proof with a suggested retail price of $49.99 for a 375ml bottle.
